The beginning:

Just a girl and her flip phone.

I’ve had a passion for visual arts ever since I had enough hand eye coordination to pick up a pencil and put it to paper. My love for photography specifically began with “activities” class in school. Every week the school implemented a few hours of mandatory extra curricular activities. Of course there was no way I’d be caught dead in football, basketball or any other sporting activity I could get injured in (ironic coming from a now pole dancer, I know). My homeroom teacher told me to join her photography class. Sure, I knew nothing about taking photos but I had nothing to lose.

I didn’t even have a camera on my own phone so she gave me her flip phone and sent me on my way around the campus grounds to take photos, “anything that looks interesting to you” she said. When I came back (clueless as ever) she seemed pleased, my compositions and eye for texture and detail were complimented and so began one of the biggest love stories of my life.
